20% off EVERYTHING at Best Buy

I purchased a 30GB video iPod from Best Buy a few months ago. I filled it with about 4,000 songs and put the movie 40 Year Old Virgin on it. After just 1 day, I realized that I really have no use for it, and went back to the store to return it. I got my money back, and all was well.

Then a day later I returned to Best Buy, went to the iPod area, and saw the iPod I had purchased 2 days ago back on the shelf, labeled as a ‘Open Item’ and marked down 20%. I could have then purchased it again loaded with my music for 20% off.

I tested this theory with various items from Routers to Video cards, all successful. A bit of a hassle, but worth saving ~$60 on an iPod.

New Apple Training – What they tell you may be a lie…

I just received an email for some reason with the subject “We’ll teach you everything we know.” I was interested so I opened it, and inside found information about the new Apple customer training they provide. 1 Full year of training on ANY subject you want, from picture editing, movie producing with Final Cut, to even how to use iTunes, for $99. Seem like a low price? Here is why the price is so low:

ONE TO ONE PERSONAL TRAINING IS INTENDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all One to One services, including any documentation, publications, or other information provided therein by or on behalf of Apple to Customer, are furnished on an “AS-IS” basis without warranty of any kind as to its accuracy or completeness.

Read that last long sentence, “information provided therein by or on behalf of Apple to Customer, are furnished on an “AS-IS” basis without warranty of any kind as to its accuracy or completeness.”

What kind of training are they providing where they need to have in their agreement that the information you receive at training may not be accurate or complete? Why pay for training on something that is not even guaranteed to be accurate? Why not train yourself? Go to Barnes and Nobel, and buy a Mac for Dummies book for $29.99, and then spend the extra $70 you saved on scarf’s and drinks at your local Cafe, because we all know those are what Mac users buy, and Cafe’s are where they hang out. removed because I now own a MacBook, but do not go to Cafe’s or wear scarf’s

T-Warez is run by a bunch of little girls

So a site I used to frequent, and over the last year or so made 800+ posts on closed yesterday. They cite their reasons as being high costs and not making enough of a profit. Was their any hint of them needing more money before? No, they never said they were in need, yesterday the site was offline, today we got the “Closed” message:

T-WareZ is now officially closed, since May 01 2007.

The reason we have closed is due to the fact that we really are just fed-up with the entire scene in general. We find it very difficult to continue paying for the site as financial support from members is VERY dissapointing when compared to other warez sites, who are actually profiting from your donations.

For the past 6 months, we have been hosted professionally offshore, paying a fortune on server fees, and spending a lot of our free time with absolutely no thanks or reward.

Members in the scene are disloyal and do everything they can to mess-up our payment gateways.

Meanwhile you can visit v19′s new site, v19.t-warez.com.

We hope you’ve enjoyed t-warez while it lasted.

Thanks to everyone who DID donate their time and finances. Although there were more people who actually leeched and stole all t-warez great ideas and content.

Thanks again,
Trajcek/Hantu

I have came to the following conclusion based on these events: T-Warez.com was run by a bunch of girls, who decided to close their site because they couldn’t manage it. It is their own fault, they became a ‘exclusive’ invite-only community and removed their VIP area, so what the hell did they expect? If you close the site down to invite-only, you depend on the existing members to recruit people in a sense, which doesn’t and clearly didn’t work.

Oh well, they are a bunch of little girls and closing their site just proves that they can’t make it on the warez scene. Another one bites the dust. RIP T-Warez, the community was good, the admin’s were retarded cry-baby girls.

If I keep pressing it, something will happen!1/11!

So I was in the elevator at work today going from the 2nd floor to the ground floor, when it stopped on the 1st floor (Note that there are no stairs going from the 1st or 2nd floor to the ground floor). A man walked into the elevator the instant the doors opened on the 1st floor, walked to the elevator floor controls, and started pressing the “Ground” button over and over and over and over again, at 15 times. He was clearly pressing the button so the doors would shut and take us to the ground, however he figured that the more he pressed it the faster the doors would close allowing the elevator to go down to the ground floor.

Then on about the 15th time he pressed the button, the doors shut, and he got this look of satisfaction on his face. I was dumbfounded. People who do retarded stuff like that piss me off like nobody else. As if he had any reason to be satisfied in himself, the doors are on a TIMER, they shut when it reaches 0! No matter how many times you spam the Ground or Door Close buttons, it will close when the TIMER reaches 0! Big fucking surprise the doors shut, it was bound to happen, so why is it people think that their constant pressing of a button on a elevator has an effect on the elevators operation? If nothing happens when you push it once, nothing will happen on push 500!
